Michael Lotito, who served on Littler Mendelson’s board of directors and founded the firm’s government relations and public policy arm Workplace Policy Institute, died on Thursday at the age of 76, the firm said.

Lotito was well-known in the Washington, D.C. political community as a fearless advocate for the interests of employers and being at the forefront of ever-changing laws, regulations and policies impacting the workplace, according to the firm.
