The Congressional Review Act is the quickest and simplest way to repeal a federal regulation. And the next Republican Congress can choose any of more than 1,300 Biden administration rules to reject at the beginning of the next congressional session, according to data tracked by George Washington University’s Regulatory Studies Center.

Under the CRA, Congress has 60 working days to determine whether to review an agency rule. All of those 1,300 rules were finalized after Aug. 1, the estimated look-back window for Congress to invoke the CRA.
