The U.S. Department of Justice is suing American Express Global Business Travel Group to block a $570 million acquisition of competitor travel management company CWT Holdings, the DOJ announced Friday.
The deal would mark Amex GBT’s fifth acquisition of a travel management company since 2018 and would substantially harm competition in the industry, the department stated.
