President Donald Trump has selected longtime DOJ immigration official James McHenry to head up the Justice Department as acting attorney general, one of several officials to serve in interim roles as Pam Bondi and other nominees await Senate confirmation.
McHenry, who has been at the Justice Department for over two decades, most recently served as the department’s chief administrative hearing officer overseeing administrative law judges.
