Selendy Gay and a D.C. public-interest litigation team filed a lawsuit Thursday challenging President Donald Trump’s executive order reinstating his “Schedule F” reclassification system that threatens the job security of thousands of career federal employees.
Trump’s Executive Order 14171 “strip[s] career civil servants of congressionally granted employment protections without due process” in violation of the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, counsel for the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and Government Accountability Project alleged in the complaint.
