Ropes & Gray (Boston): Ann Elizabeth Lewis joins the firm’s health care practice as counsel to the New York office. Lewis will focus on advising drug and medical device companies in compliance issues. Previously, Lewis was a former vice president and senior counsel for Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. Additionally, Gregory H. Levine and Howard L. Dorfman join the firm’s life sciences practice focusing on the regulation of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. Levine joins as partner in the Washington office and Dorfman joins as counsel to the New York office.

Heller Ehrman: Four attorneys join the firm’s antitrust and trade regulation practice group in the Washington office as partners: William H. Barringer, Daniel L. Porter, James P. Durling and Christopher Dunn. The team will focus on defending foreign corporations in anti-dumping, countervailing duty and other trade remedy investigations, as well as advise governments and businesses on international trade issues. Previously they were partners in the Washington office of Houston’s Vinson & Elkins.

Akerman Senterfitt: Daniel Z. Nelson joins the firm’s national real estate practice as of counsel to the New York office. Previously, Nelson was president of Cauldwell Wingate Co., chief operating officer of the New York City education construction fund, and deputy coordinator of housing and development for the office of the mayor of New York.
