As promised, Deputy Attorney General Mark Filip on Wednesday sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, outlining changes the Justice Department intends to make to the McNulty memo.

The biggest: Cooperation will no longer be measured on whether a corporation under criminal investigation chooses to waive attorney-client privilege, and federal prosecutors may not demand privileged attorney-client communications or attorney work product, the letter says.
