Winstead (Dallas): Tommy Oliver rejoins the firm’s taxation, employee benefits & private business practice group, as well as the corporate, securities/mergers & acquisitions practice group as of counsel. Recently, Oliver retired as executive vice president and general counsel of CEC Entertainment, Inc. Oliver joined Winstead in 1977, staying until 2000, a period including a three-year term as the firm’s managing shareholder.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe: Howard Altarescu joins the firm’s structured finance practice as partner in the New York office. Previously, Altarescu was head of the mortgage finance group and co-head of the mortgage and asset-backed finance group at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Zuckerman Spaeder (Washington): Linda Singer joins the firm’s newly formed public clients practice as counsel and co-chair in the Washington office. The practice will assist state attorneys general and other government clients by providing advice and litigation support on a wide range of issues. Previously, Singer was the attorney general for the District of Columbia.
