The Section of Environment, Energy and Resources is the premier forum for legal specialists in this field. On the heels of its spring council meeting in Ottawa, a truly international collaborative forum held in July in Vienna, Austria, and with its coming fall summit in Phoenix, the section is poised to augment this strong foundation even more this year. The section’s membership reflects a broad spectrum from both the private and the public sectors, including law firms, major companies, government, public interest lawyers and academia.

The section fall meeting is not just a continuing education meeting — it is a summit, where legal specialists meet to discuss cutting-edge topics. The meeting will present more than 25 continuing legal education sessions that will tie in with the beautiful Southwestern meeting location, including water, climate change and Native American law. Other topics will include energy, litigation, biofuels versus food, mining law reform, resources hot topics and a focus on sustainable development on brownfields, green buildings and renewable energy.
