A disabled auto racing fan is entitled to a view of the track unimpeded by standing, able-bodied fans, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled, adding to a circuit split over the issue. The court said that the California Speedway Corp. had violated Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and a Department of Justice interpretive rule which requires wheelchair areas at auto racing and other public venues to provide "lines of sight comparable to those for members of the general public."
