Blake, Cassels & Graydon, a Canadian law firm, has added Joan Chambers and Debra Finlay as partners in the business group in Vancouver.
The two join from the Vancouver office of Borden Ladner Gervais, another Canadian law firm.
“Both Joan and Debra will bring additional breadth and depth to our already very strong corporate practice,” Jim Christie, the firm’s chairman, said in a news release. “They have extensive national and international experience that will be invaluable to our clients, and it is my pleasure to welcome them to Blakes.”
Chambers and Finlay both practice in the areas of complex commercial transactions, including alternative service delivery and business process outsourcings, technology-based transactions, technology-based outsourcing and commercial transactions.
Chambers also has experience with China-based transactions, while Finlay practiced as a foreign legal consultant in Taiwan. Both also practice in the areas of general corporate, commercial and business law.
Blakes has more than 550 lawyers in 10 offices in Canada, the United States, Europe and China.
