Dechert: Angelyn Lim joins the firm’s financial services group as partner in the Hong Kong office. Lim will focus on private equity, hedge funds and retail mutual funds. Previously, Lim was a senior consultant at Herbert Smith and, before that, a partner at Stephenson Harwood & Lo.

Alston & Bird (Atlanta): Drew Paris joins the firm’s business litigation group as partner in the Los Angeles office. Paris will focus on contract, tort, intellectual property and antitrust matters. Previously, Paris was a partner at Reed Smith.

K&L Gates: Mary Schaerdel Dietz and Roderick (Rick) B. Williams join the firm as partners in the Austin, Texas, office. Dietz joins the commercial litigation practice and will focus on contract, construction and administrative law. Previously, Dietz was a partner at Fulbright & Jaworski. Williams joins the firm’s intellectual property litigation practice and will focus on patent litigation. Previously, Williams was a partner at Vinson & Elkins.

O’Melveny & Myers: Kenneth Yellen and Demetrios Xistris join the firm’s investment funds and securitization practice. Yellen joins the Washington office as partner and will focus on structured finance and securitization. Xistris joins the New York office as senior counsel and will focus on structured products and hedge fund derivatives. Previously, Yellen was a partner at McKee Nelson and Xistris was managing director and legal head of the U.S. equities and equity derivatives division of Société Générale.

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (Palo Alto, Calif.): Michael Sommer joins the firm’s litigation practice as partner in the New York office. Sommer will focus on white-collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. Previously, Sommer was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery.
