A chart accompanying the NLJ’s annual law firm billing survey published on Dec. 8 misreported the top associate billing rate for Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz. The correct figure is $300 per hour. Also misreported was the top rate for associates at Ford & Harrison. The correct figure is $405 per hour.
On another chart, billing rates for several associate classes at Dallas-based Gardere Wynne Sewell were misreported. The actual rates are $210 per hour for first-year associates, $230 for second year, $260 for third year, $280 for fourth year, $300 for fifth year, $325 for sixth year, $350 for seventh year and $375 for eighth year.
The chart omitted the billing rate for fifth-year associates at Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear of Irvine, Calif. That figure is $350 per hour.
