SwimWays Corp. is a Virginia Beach, Va.-based designer and manufacturer of pool and outdoor products. The company makes about 120 items, including floating chairs, water toys and outdoor furniture. Its wares are sold in more than 40,000 stores in the United States and internationally. The privately held family business employs about 70 people and has typical annual sales in “mid-eight figures,” according to Anthony F. Vittone, SwimWays’ vice president and general counsel.
Manny Arias, who purchased the company 15 years ago from Mattel Inc., is SwimWays’ chairman. His son, David Arias, is the president.
