Creditors of bankrupt LandAmerica Financial Group Inc. filed more than two dozen objections to more than $3.1 million in fees requests from four law firms working on the case.
The creditors objected to the law firms’ reimbursement requests for work done between March and May. According to court papers, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has requested nearly $1.2 million in fees, Willkie Farr & Gallagher of New York about $1.3 million, McGuireWoods of Richmond, Va., nearly $593,000 and Tavenner & Beran of Richmond close to $77,000.
