The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit begins its fall session Sept. 14, kicking off a docket that in December will bring the full court together for the first time in more than two years.

The en banc court, which is Judge David Sentelle’s first as chief, will dig into a defamation suit stemming from the controversial 1998 bombing of a Sudanese pharmaceutical plant.
