The company also has begun providing customers with the intellectual property to design and build circuits in exchange for annual payments instead of license fees. Synopsys has about 6,000 employees worldwide, with roughly one-third based in Silicon Valley. Half of Synopsys’ $1.5 billion in annual revenues comes from overseas sales.
