DICKINSON WRIGHT (Detroit): William T. Burgess has been elected chief executive officer of the firm and succeeds James A. Samborn, who served as CEO for 10 years. Burgess focuses his practice in the areas of creditors’ rights, insolvency and commercial law. Samborn, a commercial litigator, will continue his practice in the firm’s Detroit and Ann Arbor, Mich., offices.

DYKEMA GOSSETT: Patrick T. Stanton has been appointed managing member of the firm’s Chicago office. Stanton focuses on commercial ­litigation. Additionally, Phyllis Adams has been appointed practice group leader in the firm’s health care practice group. Adams, who is in the Ann Arbor, Mich., office, focuses her practice on representing clients with res­pect to corporate and regulatory issues.
