Boston law firms are seeing a pickup in lateral partner moves, with a few top practice group heads leading the way.

Aside from several notable moves in the past couple of months, there’s been a pickup in interviews and exploratory meetings, said recruiter Michael Sullivan, president of Boston-based Sullivan Global Search LLC, a legal, executive and professional search firm. “Unlike in the past, laterals are most recently more open to hearing about other opportunities and meeting with other firms, hiring managers and managing partners to discuss opportunities within their firms,” Sullivan said.
