A multibillion-dollar federal program to provide loan guarantees for renewable and other clean energy projects is powering work for a select group of law firms as well.
During the last year, the U.S. Department of Energy has announced backing for six projects. Chadbourne & Parke, Cooley Godward Kronish; Latham & Watkins; Morgan, Lewis & Bockius; Nixon Peabody; and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, among others, have picked up work negotiating guarantees — for private clients and for the government.
