The College Entrance Examination Board is the United States’ leading conduit to college admission and success in higher education. The board’s membership includes more than 5,700 schools, colleges, universities and other educational organizations. Each year the organization serves 7 million students and their parents from a pool of 23,000 high schools and 3,800 colleges. College admission, guidance, school assessment and financial aid are just a few of the board’s services and focus areas. Among its well-known program offerings are the Scholastic Aptitude Test, the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test and the Advanced Placement exams.
Founded in 1900, the not-for-profit College Board is headquartered in New York City. It has 13 offices nationwide. The company has approximately 1,200 employees and reported $600 million in revenues for the most recent fiscal year.
