Ronald Pearlman, a Georgetown Uni­versity Law Center professor, has been honored with the 2010 Distinguished Service Award from the American Bar Association Section of Taxation. Pearlman has previously worked at Covington & Burling as a tax partner and at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he advised on the department’s 1984 tax reform proposals and President Ronald Reagan’s 1985 tax reform recommendations to Congress. He also testified during the House of Representatives debate on the Tax Reform Act of 1986.
