Harsco Corp. is a diversified industrial services and engineered-products company. It is North America’s largest provider of railway track maintenance and a leader in new track equipment. Harsco offers scaffolding and concrete shoring for construction and industrial projects. It recovers and recycles metal at 160 sites around the world. The company processes industrial byproducts for commercial use and manufactures items for flooring, water heaters and boilers. Harsco, now based in Camp Hill, Pa., originated in 1853 as the Harrisburg Car Manufacturing Co.
Today, it has approximately 19,500 employees. Harsco reported revenues for the past fiscal year in the vicinity of $3 billion, securing it the No. 557 spot on the Fortune 1,000.
