Pentair Inc. is a leading provider of products and systems used in the movement, treatment, storage and recreational use of water. It manufactures water filters, pump systems and pool accessories for residential, commercial and municipal swimming pools. In addition, Pentair designs and markets components and equipment for hot tubs, baths and spas. It offers industrial heat and air-conditioning equipment, as well as enclosures for electronic products. The Minneapolis-based company was established in 1966. It has approximately 13,500 employees and reported 2009 revenues of $2.7 billion. Pentair holds the No. 627 position on the Fortune 1,000.
