NIXON PEABODY: Scott O’Connell has been named leader of the firm’s commercial litigation practice. He is based in the firm’s Boston and Manchester, N.H., offices and focuses on the defense of class actions, governance disputes and trial work. O’Connell most recently served as the deputy group leader of the firm’s litigation and intellectual property department as well as leader of the firm’s class actions and aggregate litigation practice. He will continue to serve in those roles.
RAGSDALE LIGGETT (Raleigh, N.C.): David Liggett has been named managing partner of the firm, succeeding his father, Frank Liggett III. Both father and son will continue their legal practice in the areas of business and insurance regulatory law for the firm.
