Bills submitted by the Venable law firm to the federal government’s Troubled Asset Relief Program do not contain sufficient detail to assess the “reasonableness” of almost $677,000 paid the firm, a just concluded audit says.
Moreover, the 35-page report by the program’s inspector general released on April 14 says that an initial review of other law firms’ contracts and fee bills suggest they raise similar issues to those addressed in the report.
