ALSTON & BIRD (Atlanta): Susan Kennedy joins the firm as senior policy adviser for California and will focus on advising clients on conducting business in California. Kennedy will divide her time among the firm’s Los Angeles, Menlo Park and Washington offices. Previously, Kennedy was chief of staff to former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
DAVIS WRIGHT TREMAINE (Seattle): Nancy Derwin-Weiss joins the firm’s media and entertainment team as of counsel to the Los Angeles office and will focus on media and Internet law. Previously, Derwin-Weiss was a partner at Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon.
