NEWARK, N.J. — A matrimonial lawyer and her firm, already faced with a $950,000 malpractice verdict for enabling an international child abduction, were ordered on July 5 to pay an additional $284,915 in legal fees.

Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich and her firm were found liable in May for giving Maria Carrascosa the passport for her then-4-year-old daughter, enabling her to remove the girl in 2005 to Carrascosa’s native Spain, where she remains.
