Jeffrey Watkiss, 57, has joined the Washington office of McDermott Will & Emery as partner in the firm’s energy advisory practice. Watkiss has particular experience representing power and natural gas companies on regulatory and compliance matters. Previously, he was a partner at Bracewell & Giuliani. He earned his J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law.
Joseph LeBaron, 64, has joined Patton Boggs’ international business practice as a senior adviser in the firm’s Washington and Doha, Qatar, offices. Previously, LeBaron served as U.S. ambassador to Qatar and to Mauritania. He earned his doctorate in Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University.
