A former Dewey & LeBoeuf partner has accused firm leaders including chairman Steven Davis of committing fraud by lying about the true state of the now-bankrupt firm’s finances. Henry Bunsow filed his lawsuit, likening the firm’s lateral hiring practices to a “Ponzi scheme,” in a state trial court in San Francisco.

A U.S. Patent and Trade­mark Office-backed pro bono patent program has yielded its first patent. On June 6, Fish & Richardson announced that independent inventor Nick Musachio of St. Paul, Minn., was issued a patent for a resistance exercise and physical therapy apparatus he calls “Kefty Kord.”
