Federal prosecutors have saved themselves a trial in a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act case. The last remaining defendant available for prosecution has pleaded guilty.

David Edmonds, the former vice president of worldwide customer service at Control Components Inc., entered his plea in federal court on June 15 to charges of violating the FCPA. He had been scheduled to go to trial on June 26 in Santa Ana, Calif.
