DALLAS — A federal judge on July 9 denied cyclist Lance Armstrong a temporary restraining order to prevent the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency from punishing him for alleged doping violations.

U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks described Armstrong’s complaint as “excessive” in its “rhetoric,” writing that “the Court is not inclined to indulge Armstrong’s desire for publicity, self-aggrandizement.”
