NEW YORK — A federal judge in New York on April 10 approved a $115 million settlement reached by former American Inter­national Group Inc. chief executive officer Maurice "Hank" Greenberg and other former executives to resolve a shareholder class action.

U.S. District Judge Deborah Batts ruled that the settlement was "fair, reasonable and adequate," overruling the sole objection by an investor, which did not appear in court.
