Miami has evolved into a global center for international law and a natural jumping-off point for Latin America business destinations in particular, according to William Davis, managing partner for the Miami office of Foley & Lardner. "Miami is geographically situated, culturally situated and linguistically situated for that," he said. "A lot of firms have established a Latin American client base and referrals."

Foley has hired new lawyers as a result of the growth in the Latin American market, and has taken on additional office space to accommodate its continued growth.
