David Martin, 50, and Patrick Nickler, 38, have joined Arent Fox as partner and counsel, respectively, in the real estate group. Martin and Nickler were previously partner and of counsel, respectively, at Patton Boggs. Martin focuses on finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and banking. Nickler focuses on real estate finance, loan workouts and restructuring. Martin and Nickler earned their J.D.s from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and Boston College Law School, respectively.

Robert Pease, 60, has joined Bracewell & Giuliani as senior counsel to the energy regulatory practice. He was previously counsel to the director in the Division of Enforcement at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Pease earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law.
