NEW YORK — A federal judge in New York on August 20 approved Citigroup Inc.'s $730 million settlement with bondholders who claimed that the bank concealed its exposure to billions of dollars of toxic mortgage assets prior to the financial crisis.

U.S. District Judge Sidney Stein signed off on the settlement just a few weeks after he approved a $590 million deal Citi reached with shareholders over parallel claims.
