A California multimedia and photography company’s lawsuit accusing the Boston Symphony Orchestra of refusing to honor a handshake deal was transferred on Friday from California to Boston federal court.
Visions of America LLC filed suit in the Southern District of California against the orchestra in June, claiming breach of oral contract, breach of implied-in-fact contract and unjust enrichment. It argues that if the court rejects the contract claims, the orchestra would remain liable for copyright and trademark infringement for using its photographs and other content.
