A District of Columbia Superior Court judge expressed skepticism today about an attempt to block the D.C. Council’s decision last fall to delay the city’s first election for an attorney general.
The challenger, attorney Paul Zukerberg, wants city election officials to include him on the primary ballot. Zukerberg met the requirements for running for attorney general, but a new measure adopted by the D.C. Council in the fall would delay the election until at least 2018. Primary election ballots are set to go out for printing at the close of business on Feb. 7, according to a lawyer for the city.
