Attorneys for the estate of Martin Luther King Jr. have filed a complaint in a Georgia state trial court demanding that King’s ­daughter Bernice relinquish the Nobel Peace Prize her father won in 1964 and King’s “traveling Bible.” The ­complaint asserts that King’s heirs assigned the rights to the estate, but that Bernice King has “secreted and sequestered” the items in violation of the 1995 agreement.

MORTGAGE CLAIMS MILESTONE

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara of New York claimed another victory on Feb. 6 in his campaign against insider trading. Capping a four-week trial, a jury found former SAC Capital Advisors portfolio manager Mathew Martoma guilty of using insider tips to trade shares of two drug companies. The jury sided with prosecutors on each of their conspiracy and securities charges after 2 1/2 days of deliberations. Jurors concluded that Martoma gained nonpublic information from a doctor about disappointing clinical trials of an Alzheimer’s drug.
