NEW YORK — A state court judge has temporarily delayed dismissing a case against Bank of America Corp., which received approval of an $8.5 billion settlement with mortgage-backed securities investors in January.
American International Group Inc. persuaded a Justice Barbara Kapnick on Feb. 4 to hold off on dismissing the case so that the parties determine what claims against BofA were still viable.
