Todd Kim, the solicitor general for the District of Columbia, was nominated today to serve on the D.C. Court of Appeals.

Kim has served as the D.C. government’s top appellate lawyer since 2006, when the position of solicitor general was created. If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, he would replace Judge Kathryn Oberly, who stepped down in December.
