Randy Travis has lost his bid to stop the public disclosure of dashcam video that shows him nude during his 2012 arrest for driving while intoxicated. Travis sued the Texas Department of Public Safety and the state attorney general. Texas District Judge Stephen Yelenosky granted the attorney general office’s motion for summary judgment, determining “that no portion of the information at issue in this suit is excepted from required public disclosure.” The footage must be released within 60 days of the judgment becoming final and unappealable. Yelenosky also ordered Travis to pay court costs and $4,375 in attorney fees to the state. The country singer plans to appeal the ruling, “We think that it invades Mr. Travis’s right to privacy,” Travis’ co-counsel Larry Friedman said. — Texas Lawyer
