A Maryland worker who was ejected from a utility bucket as he replaced a traffic light will have a second chance to convince a jury he wasn’t responsible for the accident, a federal appeals panel said on Feb. 25.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit vacated a lower court ruling that found contract worker Jamie Meyers’ negligence contributed to the 2009 accident, in which a tractor trailer driven struck the bucket. The panel remanded the case. Read the opinion in Jamie Meyers v. Michael Lamer and Carroll County Foods here.
