A former Wal-Mart Stores Inc. pharmacist, who contended the retailer discriminated against him because he was once a prescription drug addict, lost his class action when a federal judge in Washington state dismissed it with prejudice on Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge Ronald Leighton of the Western District of Washington ruled that Wal-Mart did not violate the Americans with Disabilities Act when it fired pharmacist James Bryan in 2011.
