Claims from Tom’s of Maine Inc. that its toothpaste is an “all natural” product with natural ingredients is false and misleading and violates the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, a putative class action contends.

Instead, Tom’s Toothpaste contains synthetic, unnatural and chemically processed ingredients, including xylitol and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), according to the complaint filed by consumer Allison Gay in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Florida. Read the complaint here.
