Two national retail stores did not violate District of Columbia law when they asked customers for their ZIP codes during checkout, a federal judge in Washington ruled Friday.
Former customers of Urban Outfitters Inc. and Anthropologie Inc., which is owned by Urban Outfitters, claimed the retailers violated D.C. consumer protection laws by requesting personal information during credit card transactions.
