Boston Scientific Corp. is the latest pelvic mesh manufacturer to seek discovery about a company that purchases medical accounts receivable—and that it accuses of driving up medical expenses claimed by plaintiffs.

Medstar Funding L.C. and Medstar president Daniel Christensen have moved to quash or modify subpoenas issued by mesh defendants Boston Scientific, C.R. Bard Inc. and American Medical Systems Inc. Medstar argues that the subpoenas directed to medical service providers would inappropriately reveal the amounts that MedStar pays to medical service providers for accounts receivable.
