The Senate Judiciary Committee approved four nominations today, including a unanimous voice vote on Boies, Schiller & Flexner partner Tanya Chutkan to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Chutkan, who breezed through her confirmation hearing on March 3, is a longtime former public defender with the D.C. Public Defender Service and would join one other African-American woman on the district court bench in Washington.
