A federal court of appeals has ruled against a concert ticket holder who filed a class action over the price of his ticket that included a parking fee he claims wasn’t needed and violated consumer protection laws.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on March 25 affirmed a lower court’s ruling to dismiss the case brought by James Batson against Live Nation Entertainment Inc. over a $9 mandatory fee included in the price of his non-refundable ticket for a concert by the popular rock band O.A.R.
