Big Bug: A newly discovered bug in widely used Web encryption technology has made data on many of the world’s major websites vulnerable to theft by hackers, Reuters reports. Experts say it’s one of the most serious security flaws uncovered in recent years.

Suing Yourself: Sister companies Optumsoft Inc. and Arista Networks Inc. were both founded and backed by Silicon Valley billionaire David Cheriton and shared software under a royalty free agreement. But on Friday, a week after Arista filed for an initial public offering potentially worth $200 million, Optumsoft slapped its former collaborator with a suit alleging breach of contract and trade secret theft that could have major repercussions for Arista, The Recorder reports.
